Commissioning a unique piece of furniture or artwork is a simple, collaborative process and one that provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity for us both.

First we begin with an informal meeting. It is helpful if this can take place at the location where the piece is intended for. Here, we will be able to consider aesthetics, function, dimensions, discuss what you like, need, budgets and so on. During this time you will have the opportunity to view my portfolio and look at material samples.

Next I will begin to form a clear design brief into to which you are welcome to have as much or as little input as you wish. It’s my role as the designer to offer suggestions, interpret your ideas and develop them so that you get exactly what you want.

Initial sketches are then prepared accompanied by a 3D model if appropriate. I will then present these to you. Once you are completely happy with the design I will provide a quote and terms of our agreement. A written outline will be forwarded for your approval before any work begins.

If you prefer, I am happy to work alongside your interior designer or architect on projects of any scale, large or small.

Please refer to my terms and conditions for more information on the complete process.
